As you may know, I was recently attuned to  Reiki Level 2 by healing practitioner and powerful priestexx Madre Jaguar.  The experience of this attunement has felt like an awakening  as I  become acquainted with Divine Love in a new way.  I've been adding Reiki to every aspect of my life - in the shower, before I eat, when I am driving, before I send an Instagram post, everything.  The whole process has felt very natural -  like opening a forgotten door or wiping down a dirty window in your house - it has always been there, but now  there's new life, freshness, and clarity. 

Which brings me back to this message above that I wrote as part of a panel on tarot that I was a part of last year at DePaul University. What does it mean to say that "magic is our birthright?" 

For babies  and children, magic is a given. Not only is it encouraged for children to believe in magic through fairy tales, movies, and  imaginative play time,  little ones  have a strong connection to the astral realm. To them, everything is magic - how food is grown, babies are born,  everything relies on invisible processes that kids can  feel  on a level that is  socialized out of us as we grow older. As witchy adults who are choosing to reclaim their connection to the miraculous in our world, we have to  go back to that sense of wonder and trust in  the energetic connections that bind  all that is together.  We have to believe that the magical is not something that can be taken from us, only reclaimed. 

This is what has made working with Reiki so special. It feels like being a kid again. Everything can be imbued with love, because magic is literally at my fingertips.  This experience doesn't just have to be limited to Reiki - if you love to write, make music, practice yoga, paint, dance, whatever, all of that is the spirit of Love and creation moving through you.  In other words, creativity is a loving process and a magical process.  You were born with the  natural desire and drive to create. How can you tap into that resource for yourself  to heal? How can you make every day more intentionally magical?
