Take a moment, ask a question or set an intention, and choose one of the three cards above. Answers after the jump!
This week's update is a little different as instead of focusing on tarot cards, I tell a story about how a visit to the dentist helped me understand the lingering effects of trauma and realize the value of grounding during rocky emotional times. Take a listen and let me know what you think! I invite you to share a story of your own in the comments about how you've come to love and care for your body.
for the new moon in Pisces today we honor the moon as it hides in darkness, holding space for our own shadows. it lies in wait for the opportunity to emerge, gently illuminated by the sliver of the waxing moon, a charged space for us to direct our dreams and intentions. The Moon is one of the tarot cards for Pisces season and it invites us to listen and reflect. this meditation was created for rest and reception. how has the dark moon been affecting you? remember, save your intentions (aka the ideas and dreams you want to build on) for when there is a sliver of the moon visible for more potent spells!
In this week's update I talk about Mercury retrograde in Pisces, Mars in Capricorn, and the tarot cards The Hanged Man (Neptune) and The Moon (Pisces)!
Pick a card is back! Take a moment, gather yourself, and intuitively choose one of the three cards picture. The answers are revealed after the jump!
image from Canva use this meditation when you feel afraid to speak or drained by anxiety. imagine the taste of cold water on your lips, on your tongue, and down your throat. it tastes clear and clean and life-giving. when you drink this water, your mouth is left with the faint taste of sweetness. any dryness you were experiencing before is completely gone. you feel invigorated and calm. you open your mouth as if to speak and you feel the spilling of a thousand stories floating out of you. they come out freely, weaving color and light into the air around you. you see them shimmering and dancing, extending out into the trees and the grass, and in the blue sky beyond. you are heard and cared for.
use this meditation when you are afraid of adventure. imagine being born. all the possibilities there. in front of you the whole world wide open for you to grow in. the potential, simultaneously buzzing within you and expanding beyond. the potential feels soft and welcoming. you feel held, gently, in such a way that you feel supported and open. your bright and fresh eyes look towards the horizon and you see in front of you the whole world wide open for you to grow in. the landscapes are varied but they are all within reach. you see yourself as part of them, and they a part of you. use this meditation when you feel unloved. relax into your body. rub your belly in circles. hear divine mother singing to you. you are held by her now and always have been. there is nothing that you must hold alone. allow yourself to be supported. allow yourself to be heard. it feels like floating. For the weekly intuitive update, we are talking about the Six of Pentacles! To me this card is bringing up some important questions as we consider a post-capitalist world - what does wealth look like without ownership? How can we reimagine economies that move away from cycles of debt and imprisonment? What does it mean to feel abundant? I'd love to hear your thoughts about this - the energetics of money is a tricky topic as classism, imperialism, colonialism, and racism are all very real and deadly challenges that we face in some form every day. How can we view wealth and abundance from a soul-centered perspective? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!
If you haven't already, take a moment with these three cards, center yourself, and choose one. You don’t have to overthink it - just pick the one that feels like its calling to you. The reveal is after the jump!
Hi everyone! Today for the full moon in Leo, I am doing a pick a card post! Take a moment, center yourself, and choose one of these three cards. You don’t have to overthink it - just pick the one that feels like its calling to you. Tomorrow, I will reveal the cards and post the messages that are coming through for each one of them. All you have to do is be present and receptive, let me take care of the rest! If you all like this, I will make this into a regular post for the site.
I invite you to head over to my latest Instagram post to see what happened on my first try of this project this today. Let’s just say, Spirit was coming through LOUD and CLEAR! Check out the Instagram post for more insight on what a full moon in Leo brings. This is the first of 4 super moons in a row we are going to be experiencing this year. Is 2020 out of control or what? The invitation for now is COURAGE, IDEALISM, TRUTH, and KNOWLEDGE. Do not shrink away from your power! Honor the whole of you - let your fears be your loving teachers not your enemies. Check back tomorrow for the reveal of the cards! Have a supremely blessed day and don’t forget to look up! This week we are visited by The Devil! As you may know, The Devil in the tarot is an archetype, a representation of our shadows and an invitation to examine our willingness to say no to limiting behaviors.
Personally, I go through phases with this card. There are times when I find myself freaked out by its appearance - I get frustrated, assuming that an old pattern coming up means that I have failed in some way and that I'll never achieve my goals because of this continued failure. For those of you familiar with astrology, it may not surprise you based off that last sentence that The Devil is ruled by Capricorn! But other times, like has more or less been the case for last several weeks, I have actually been getting excited when I see The Devil pop up in readings. When I see The Devil, that means I am breaking through to something really important. I am getting closer to the heart of myself - looking deep into the habits that I have created to protect myself from feeling hurt or alone. As with all things, this is an opportunity for me to understand a new way to practice self-compassion. I honestly also see fun in The Devil, a challenge. I appreciate a good opportunity to indulge and at this point in my life, I know that I am not afraid to look anything in the face, because I know I will just come out wiser and more in awe of the Divine power available for us all to tap into than I was before. The way I am able to reach this point is by not identifying with my behaviors and instead seeing an opportunity to celebrate my life and love. This is the empowering message of in this card! In this audio recording, I discuss The Devil in the context of its reversal and how it is closely related to The Lovers and The Magician. What comes up for you when you see The Devil? How has it helped you learn how to create intimacy with yourself? |
